Thanks to Goodman Foundation - South Madison Capital Campaign Reaches Goal
Great news! The Goodman Foundation has announced a major contribution to the capital campaign for the South Madison Branch Library. This contribution will complete the capital campaign, allowing for the creation of an endowment for the branch. In thanks for their gift, the Library Board will name the South Branch after Robert and Irwin Goodman. This is a wonderful way to honor Robert and Irwin Goodman who have done so much for this community. Mayor Dave Cieslewicz joined community leaders at the opening of the Goodman Community Pool to declare and kickoff Robert and Irwin Goodman Weekend. “Together the Goodman brothers lived a life filled with extraordinary community service that continues today through the Goodman Foundation. I want to thank the foundation for this incredible gift to the South Madison Branch,” Mayor Dave Cieslewicz said. “Over seven decades, Robert and Irwin left a lasting impact on our community, and it is only fitting that we take time each year to honor them and to inspire others to live their lives in that same community spirit.” Tripp Widder, Terrie Goren and Barb Dimick
