2015 Wisconsin Book Festival
The 2015 festival will be October 22-25, 2015, with the Central Library hosting most events, and festival partners including the university, area schools, and arts and humanities organizations. The festival draws a regional audience of more than 24,000 people attending mostly free, public author talks, performances and related activities. Festival programs maintain a year-round schedule with two author programs each month. Media partners include Wisconsin Public Radio and Isthmus, maximizing visibility for the programs. An exclusive reception for authors and those who donate at the Book Fest Benefactors level is held during the festival.
The Wisconsin Book Festival brings thousands of people to Madison for four days of wonderful book programming each October, but we can't do it alone. We need YOU to help us make it possible by donating your time.
Volunteers at the Book Festival do so many things. From selling books to giving directions, helping people get their books signed or running an incredible author event, volunteers are essential to a successful festival. If you're interested in volunteering at the festival this year, please sign up online for one of our volunteer orientation sessions. If you have questions about volunteering at this year's Wisconsin Book Festival, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
We also need:
- Volunteer Photographers. We can't be everywhere at once, so we are looking for volunteer photographers to share pictures of events happening outside of the Central Library.
- Social Media Ambassadors. Always online? Share your enthusiasm for the festival via Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram!
- Data Entry Assistants. Help us quickly compile hundreds of event surveys over the four days of the festival.
If any of these three opportunities interest you, please contact Tana Elias at 266-4953 or email@example.com for more information.
Upcoming Book Festival events
There are more than 70 events taking place at Central Library, and throughout the downtown and UW-Madison campus through the end of October. Visit WisconsinBookFestival.org for more details and our Support page to learn how your donation can help us continue to present Book Festival events.
