Are You Ready for the Wisconsin Book Festival?

Foundation News–The Wisconsin Book Festival is just two weeks away! The festival, which runs Oct. 16-19, will feature more than 60 free events at Central Library as well as throughout the downtown and campus areas. This year’s events include a children’s series, numerous author appearances, a supper club sampling event, a beermaking event, and so much more.

Ex Libris Tickets Sell Out in Record Time

Foundation News–Our annual Ex Libris fundraiser proved its popularity when tickets sold out just a few weeks after they went on sale. Approximately 550 people will fill Central Library on November 7 to sample a variety of craft beers and culinary creations from more than two dozen of the area’s finest breweries and kitchens.

New Meadowridge Library Opens

Foundation News–The new Meadowridge Library on the city’s southwest side opened its doors to the community on September 15. Meadowridge capital campaign donors got the first look at the new library on September 12 with a special reception.

Campbell Chosen to Receive Elizabeth Moon Proctor Scholarship

Foundation News–Thomas Campbell is the 2014 recipient of the Elizabeth Moon Proctor Scholarship, given annually to a Madison Public Library staff member interested in pursuing library and information science studies. Campbell, a longtime Madison Public Library employee, is a program assistant and enrolled in the library studies graduate school program at UW-Milwaukee.
