Meet & Greet With OPN Architects for New Pinney Library
The public is invited to a Meet & Greet tonight (Wednesday, July 19) from 5-6 p.m.,with the designers of the new Pinney Library. This will take place at the existing Pinney Library, 204 Cottage Grove Road.
The informal event will give community members the chance to meet the design team assisting with the construction of the new Pinney Library. OPN Architects, the company contracted to work with Madison Public Library, will be at the Meet & Greet to answer questions, discuss design trends and listen to the public’s hopes for the future Pinney location.
Formal opportunities for the public to share feedback with the library and the city will happen in late summer or fall.
The new Pinney Library will be located on the corner of Cottage Grove Road and Dempsey Road, as part of the Ruedebusch Development & Construction’s “Royster Corners” project. Currently, a 20,000 square foot floor space is being negotiated. Pre-design work begins summer 2017, while design phases will begin in fall or winter of 2017. Construction is set to begin late summer 2018.
