Ways to Give

Wisconsin Book Festival

The Wisconsin Book Festival, which Madison Public Library Foundation took over jointly with Madison Public Library in 2013, has transitioned from an October weekend event into year-round programming for all ages. Book Festival events are held at locations throughout Madison, including the city's nine public libraries. The foundation raises more than $100,000 each year to make Book Festival programming possible.

Most events taking place during the October festival weekend, which in 2016 will be October 20–23, are held at Central Library as well as throughout the downtown and University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.

Consider joining the community of readers, book lovers and enthusiastic supporters who help keep the Wisconsin Book Festival a vital part of Madison by making a donation today.

Become a Book Fest Benefactor today!

Corporate sponsors provide significant support to the festival, but it is our individual community members who love the festival, attend our events and enjoy interacting with authors. We invite individuals and families to invest in the festival through our new Book Fest Benefactors program. By contributing $1,000 or more, individuals will underwrite programs during the annual festival weekend each October, as well as book programs all year long from June 2016–May 2017.

Book Fest Benefactors are eligible for special benefits:

  • Reserved seating at author events year-round
  • Invitation to private Book Festival author reception
  • Recognition on website
  • Complimentary tickets to fundraisers as available

Make your online donation today or contact Jenni Collins for more information at jcollins@mplfoundation.org or 608.266.6318.

If you have a donor-advised fund through Fidelity Charitable or Schwab Charitable, you can make a gift directly to Madison Public Library Foundation through DAF Direct.
