Lunch for Libraries with Carl Hiaasen

Tickets are on sale now for Madison Public Library Foundation’s annual Lunch for Libraries virtual fundraiser featuring novelist and longtime Miami Herald columnist Carl Hiaasen! Presented by BMO Harris Bank, the May 25 event will begin with networking at 11:30 a.m.

Hiaasen will discuss his outrageously hilarious and brilliantly satirical New York Times best-selling comic thriller, Squeeze Me, in conversation with Peter Ash novel series author Nick Petrie beginning at noon. Irreverent, ingenious and uproariously entertaining, Squeeze Me perfectly captures the absurdity of our times. Ticket Information
Individual ticket: $125, including a Wisconsin Book Festival membership to support free, year-round author programming ($100 without the membership). $17 of the ticket value is not tax-deductible.

Virtual “table” of eight for friends, family or colleagues: Select quantity of eight individual tickets upon checkout. You will be able to add your guests’ names during checkout or at a later date if you wish.

Lunch for Libraries proceeds support the Wisconsin Book Festival, presented by Madison Public Library in partnership with the foundation. The festival presents prominent diverse authors on critical topics like social justice an anti-racism, including recent events with Ibram X. Kendi and Heather McGhee. It also supports Madison Public Library literacy efforts, including outreach to home-based daycare centers to help them build book collections, and summer reading programs for kids.
