Lunch for Libraries with Carl Hiaasen

Presented by BMO Harris Bank, Madison Public Library Foundation’s annual Lunch for Libraries virtual fundraiser featuring novelist and longtime Miami Herald columnist Carl Hiaasen!  Bank will take place on Tuesday, May 25.

Hiaasen will discuss his outrageously hilarious and brilliantly satirical New York Times best-selling comic thriller, Squeeze Me, beginning at noon. Irreverent, ingenious and uproariously entertaining, Squeeze Me perfectly captures the absurdity of our times. Read the plot description here.

Guests may join the virtual event at 11:30 a.m. for networking through the chat feature. The program will begin at noon. All guests will receive a link to the event in advance via email.

Ticket Information
Individual ticket: $125, including a Wisconsin Book Festival membership to support free, year-round author programming ($100 without the membership). $17 of the ticket value is not tax-deductible.

Lunch for Libraries proceeds support the Wisconsin Book Festival, presented by Madison Public Library in partnership with the foundation. The festival presents prominent diverse authors on critical topics like social justice an anti-racism, including recent events with Ibram X. Kendi and Heather McGhee. It also supports Madison Public Library literacy efforts, including outreach to home-based daycare centers to help them build book collections, and summer reading programs for kids.
