Wisconsin Book Festival Schedule Launch Party Aug. 21

Wisconsin Book Festival members, benefactors, sponsors and media are invited to a Schedule Launch Party at 3 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, on the third floor of Central Library to celebrate the release of the four-day festival author lineup.

Refreshments will be served, and festival Director Conor Moran will lead a presentation about the schedule. The event will be hosted by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author David Maraniss.

“The Wisconsin Book Festival is one of the jewels of Madison, an event that I look forward to every year as an author and book lover,” Maraniss said. “Madison Public Library is a perfect venue, compact and accessible, and the audiences are always supportive and inquisitive. Whether I'm presenting my own book at the festival or holding a conversation with a fellow writer, I always enjoy the experience and learn from it.”

Media planning to attend the launch party are asked to RSVP via email to amy@brickroad-pr.com.

The Wisconsin Book Festival is made possible due to generous support from Signature Sponsor Marvin J. Levy and the following lead sponsors: American Girl’s Fund for Children, the Bass Family, the Pleasant T. Rowland Foundation, Nimick Forbesway Foundation, UW-Madison Memorial Library, Friends of the UW-Madison Libraries and Wisconsin Humanities Council.
