Earn Our Member Pass With a Gift of $100 or More

We invite you to become a Wisconsin Book Festival member! A one-year festival membership is our way of thanking you for any gift of $100 or more. Member benefits include:

  • a mailed membership pass and information packet explaining the perks

  • reserved seating for two at up to a dozen select festival events (advance reservation required)

  • the option to purchase a pre-signed book online in advance of select author talks

  • an invitation to an exclusive Wisconsin Book Festival launch event in August, where the four-day weekend schedule will be announced

Memberships make a great holiday gift, too! To purchase one for yourself or as a gift for a loved one, visit our Donate page. Those who give $100 or more and designate it for the festival will be eligible to receive the member pass.

To learn how your business can become a corporate sponsor of the festival, contact Jenni Collins at jcollins@mplfoundation.org or 608.266.6318.

Thank You!

Thank you to all of our members and those who donated to the festival from mid-October through festival weekend! We received more than $6,500 in contributions, and most were matched with a $5,000 gift from Dr. Nancy Pandhi and Dr. Alex Young.

About the Festival

Since 2002, the Wisconsin Book Festival has brought more than 2,000 local and nationally acclaimed authors to downtown Madison to encourage reading, discussion and the exchange of ideas. This annual celebration of fiction, nonfiction, poetry and more attracts more than 15,000 people each year.

The 2018 fall festival weekend will be Thursday, October 11–Sunday, October 14.

Madison Public Library, in partnership with Madison Public Library Foundation, took over the festival in 2013, expanding it from a single
fall weekend to a year-round series of more than 100 events. Events are designed to reach every age group. They're held at Central Library, on the UW–Madison campus, at downtown bookstores and other Madison Public Library locations.

What makes the festival such a successful Madison tradition is that all events are FREE and open to the public! To make this possible, the foundation raises nearly half of the festival’s annual budget of $250,000 through private donations.

Consider joining the community of readers, book lovers and enthusiastic supporters who help keep the Wisconsin Book Festival a vital part of Madison by making a donation today.
