Looking for a new book from the Dream Bus? Its summer intern can help you find your next summer read! Meet this year’s Making & Learning Intern, Yaritza Garcia, a senior at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Her internship is funded through gifts to Madison Public Library Foundation.
The Dream Bus hires a Making & Learning Intern each summer to help with programming aboard and outside the library on wheels. As demands for mobile library service increase over the summer, the intern rides along to provide support and create fun activities, such as teaching visitors how to use the button maker.
Yaritza grew up in a bilingual household in the Allied/Fitchburg area. During her child and teen years, her mother used to take her and her siblings to summer programs at the library, which helped develop Yaritza’s love for reading and spending time with her family.
