Madison Public Library Foundation hosts two annual fundraising events: Lunch for Libraries in the spring and Ex Libris in the fall.

Lunch for Libraries, which will enter its 11th year in 2022, features networking, an author talk and a simple but elegant lunch. It is typically held in person at Monona Terrace Convention Center.

Our 2021 event featuring comic thriller writer Carl Hiaasen was a virtual, live-streamed program, as was the 2020 Lunch for Libraries with acclaimed food journalist Mark Bittman. Lunch for Libraries proceeds support the Wisconsin Book Festival’s free, year-round author programming as well as Madison Public Library youth literacy efforts.

Ex Libris is a celebration of local craft beverages and culinary creations. Our 2022 event is planned for Friday, November 4. Ex Libris proceeds go toward Madison Public Library collections, services and programs.
