As the 2020 presidential election quickly approaches, Madison Public Library continues to collaborate with the City Clerk’s office to promote voter registration, in-person absentee voting, and election day voting. Due to changes in voting procedures at the state and city levels, a majority of Madison’s absentee voting now happens in a Madison Public Library.
To promote civic engagement and highlight the library’s important role in the voting process, Madison Public Library Foundation awarded the libraries a grant for branded “I voted” and “I registered to vote at the library” stickers. When patrons choose to register and vote at Madison Public Library, they can wear these stickers with pride, and encourage library use and political engagement!
