The Reindahl capital campaign has successfully raised $3.86 million, representing over 86% of our $4.5 million goal. Recent contributions include a grant of $150,000 from The Evjue Foundation, the charitable arm of The Capital Times, as well as a $50,000 grant from The Courtier Foundation, Inc. The library broke ground in spring 2025 and is set to open in the fall of 2026 as our 10th library location. It will be the first indoor-outdoor library and community space within a park.

Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway recently announced funding for the new Imagination Center at Reindahl Park. She is including $320,000 in the 2026 Executive Operating Budget proposal to fully staff Madison’s 10th library.
“The Imagination Center is one of my top priorities in 2026 because it’s an investment in one of the fastest growing parts of Madison. Libraries are the heartbeat of a healthy community. Every Madisonian deserves equal access to these important institutions,” said Mayor Rhodes-Conway at a news conference. “The Madison Public Library is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. I’m proud to build off the City’s long legacy of supporting access to information for all our residents.”
The Imagination Center at Reindahl Park is a unique collaboration between four partners: Madison Public Library, Madison Public Library Foundation, City of Madison Engineering, and Madison Parks.
