September marks the national celebration of Library Card Sign-Up Month, a time when the library encourages new people within the community to learn about and access library resources, as well as educating current library cardholders about everything a library card can provide. September: New Library Card Holders The special edition 150th Anniversary library card design was made possible thanks to the Madison Public Library Foundation.
October: Existing Library Card Holders New library card holders will have the opportunity to get the 150th Anniversary edition card when you sign up for a library card online or in-person.
- Renewals or replacements are not eligible to receive the special edition card in September.
- If you sign up online, you will receive your library card through the mail in 1-2 weeks at the address entered into your application.
