For more than thirty years, the Affirmative Action Student Professionals in Residence (AASPIRE) program has placed more than 250 students into paid summer internships throughout the City of Madison. This summer, Madison Public Library welcomed Ismael Jaral-Vera and Madison Xiao as the 2025 AASPIRE interns. This paid internship runs 8-10 weeks and focuses on management level projects, mentoring, and a deeper understanding of public service. Both Ismael and Madison brought fresh perspectives to the team and insight to the IT and marketing departments.

Madison Public Library Foundation is grateful for donor gifts that have made AASPIRE internships possible.
